Tim and Patti Long began their mission service in Baja California, Mexico, in July 1996. They serve in the Borderland of the Californias, ministry that takes place on both the Mexican and U.S. sides of the border.
The Martins have a rural-based ministry in a small town in Northern Thailand. The population of this town is almost 100 percent Buddhist. The Martins work with Tom and Noi Siangproa, two Thai missionaries sent by the Maitrichit Chinese Baptist Church, part of the 12th District of the Church of Christ in Thailand. There is a small and growing Christian group there that the Martins and the Siangproas help to nurture through fellowship, praise, preaching and teaching.
In a region where over two-thirds of the population depend on agriculture for a living, and where chronic malnutrition limits the lives of children in many villages, Ed & Miriam Noyes support and advise Congolese Baptist church programs promoting more productive, profitable, and sustainable farming techniques. Ed helps churches to develop competent researchers, agricultural promoters, and teachers, and to organize more effective efforts to improve agriculture. He also teaches agriculture students at the Milundu Teachers College and assists the local Baptist convention on program management and finance. |
