The stained glass window hanging in the church in honor of the Giles families was donated by Arnold and Dorothea Giles. The picture was taken from the birth announcement of their youngest grandchild Nathan. They both felt it depicted the miracle of birth and how a new life can only be sent into this world by the hand of God. It was Arnie and Dot's wish that all the Giles families past, present and future generations be remembered.
Some of those who have gone before us but are still so much a part of our hearts and lives are George W. Giles, Sr. and his wife Clare and George W. Giles, Jr. and his wife Helen. Most recently; Arnold Stuart Giles.
For Arnold's wife and their children, we are the present. We live today, by God's grace and any blessed tomorrows that we are granted. We remember all those who have gone before us with great love. And we look to the future through the eyes of our children and grandchildren.
As for Arnold and Dorotheas' grandchildren and great-grandchildren, you are the future Giles families. You are the hopes and dreams of the past, present and future generations.
The whole Giles family hopes each and every person feels as much love, honor, comfort and joy as our family does each time we look at our stained glass window. |
