To God Be The Glory, The Udall Family
The Cross and the Crown.

Two young people arrived in Mansfield in the early to mid 1900's and became involved in the First Baptist church. Nancy Linn and Bill Udall met here and, though young, knew they were meant for each other.  They also knew the Lord was leading them into ministry together.  Bill and Nancy were married at First Baptist in 1953 and Bill was ordained in 1955.

Their three daughters, Deborah, Donna and Beth Ann, were baptized and grew up in the life and nurture of First Baptist.

The Udalls have chosen the traditional symbol of Cross and Crown to remind us all of Christ's victory over death and His sovereignty over the world.  Those who follow Christ will also experience victory and will ultimately be awarded His Crown of Life.
