This stained glass window shows the picture of a violin, a music staff and an angel singing. This window is in memory of Everett Wood. Everett's wife Lois wrote the following:
"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye nations. Serve the Lord with gladness. Come into his presence with singing!"
Which is certainly what Everett did with his beautiful tenor voice and violin. Everett's father built the violin to conform to Everett's short fingers He honed his natural talent for interpretation and expression from his studies of the violin, which were curtailed by the depression.
Music brought Everett to sing in the First Baptist Church choir. It wasn't long before he was asked to direct the choir. He continued from the early 1960's until 1995, after he moved to Rhode Island. |
